Why Should I Care?

That's a great question!

We ask this question for those of you who, like us, are a little more skeptical and really want to understand the difference we’re trying to make. We want to make Jesus known in order to see lives and communities transformed because we ourselves have experienced God’s work of restoring, reconciling and renewing all things and we believe God is still up to something…today!

We want to partner with our neighbours and neighbourhoods to help make Binbrook the best place to live!

Simply put, our vision is to:

CONNECT GROW ● GIVE GO

CONNECT ● GROW ● GIVE ● GO

At The Well our desire is to connect as real people. It's about connecting as a community but a community that is made up of people. In other words, our desire is to connect with you. We want to know you by name. Ultimately our desire is for you to have an encounter with Jesus. He desires to connect with you too!

Just like any healthy relationship our desire is to grow. We want to grow closer together as well as grow closer to Jesus. Growth doesn't happen overnight. It takes time. It's not always linear. Sometimes you take two steps forward and one step back. Othertimes, it might be one step forward and two steps back. Despite setbacks, it is by the grace of God, we can focus on what's ahead. It's not about measuring up to others or their expectations, what matters most, is that your facing toward Jesus. He promises to help us. Let's grow together!

Giving is our act of worship. I've heard many times and in many ways that the church is just out to get "our money." Even if you just thought that, I would like to say, I'm sorry. I'm sorry that you have not seen where money has gone. I'm sorry you've seen money wasted and/ or abused. I'm sorry that as you've given you began to feel resentful and taken advantage of. Yet, giving brings joy. Giving changes lives. Giving makes an impact locally and globally. We can give through our time, our energy and our resources. It's not about the amount you give, it's about working together in generosity to continue to make an impact on individual lives, our neighbourhoods, and the world.

Jesus tells us to "go and make disciples." In other words, go share the Good News, go announce freedom, go show people the way to a new life. Go. You are unique. You have purpose. Each and every one of us has a unique design, wiring and sphere of influence. Go to where God has placed you (or is nudging you to go) and share the hope you have from your encounter with Jesus! Go.
